collected by a stack trace (whether generated by new Error().stack or
Error.captureStackTrace(obj)).
The default value is 10 but may be set to any valid JavaScript number. Changes
will affect any stack trace captured after the value has been changed.
If set to a non-number value, or set to a negative number, stack traces will not capture any frames.
StaticcaptureCreates a .stack property on targetObject, which when accessed returns
a string representing the location in the code at which
Error.captureStackTrace() was called.

The first line of the trace will be prefixed with
${myObject.name}: ${myObject.message}.
The optional constructorOpt argument accepts a function. If given, all frames
above constructorOpt, including constructorOpt, will be omitted from the
generated stack trace.
The constructorOpt argument is useful for hiding implementation
details of error generation from the user. For instance:

Staticprepare
A rejection RouteFusion returned as a GraphQL
errors[]payload — it parsed our request and refused it ("compliance_evaluation is required before finalization", a badEmailscalar, an unrecognized enum). Deterministic for the same input: retrying can only produce the same refusal.It exists so Temporal can tell those apart from transport failures. The onboarding workflow retries activities forever (
maximumAttempts: Number.POSITIVE_INFINITY), and a plainErroris retryable by default — so before this, one malformed field wedged a run in an endless retry loop instead of failing it. The workflow lists this class innonRetryableErrorTypes(matched onname), which turns those into a terminal, legible failure.Deliberately NOT thrown for a transport-shaped failure — a 5xx, a timeout, or an empty body stays a plain RouteFusionError and keeps retrying, because those genuinely do succeed on a later attempt.
